Wedge farm

A "kile" is an enclosed and drained area of land. The name reflects the fact that the town has, over the centuries, reclaimed land from the fjord. When the Reformation occurred in 1536, the town built a farm to pay the new Lutheran priest. However, he did not work with plow and spade himself but hired a tenant farmer. The property was demolished around 1960 when the Kolstrup Housing Association built the blocks at Borgmester Finks Gade 10-18.
