The Shoemaker Passage

The Cornett family has been in the shoe and shoemaking business since the 1750s. In 1920, the business moved here to Ramsherred 21B, where shoes have been sold for over 100 years. The name Cornett was originally a nickname for the father of the first shoemaker in the family. He was a flag bearer and played a small horn called a cornet. The family adopted the name.
