ROAD CLOSURES IN AABENRAA

Work has been carried out throughout the night to secure Aabenraa against the rising waters, and the situation remains under control. The pumping station has been put into operation two months ahead of schedule, and many hundreds of meters of water tubes have been placed along the quaysides. Today, Skibbroen, which runs from Møllemærsk to Rådhusgade, as well as Kilen and Mellemvej in nordhavn, will be closed to traffic to allow space and peace for the ongoing emergency response work aimed at minimising the risk of Aabenraa city being flooded. 

Residents living in the closed-off areas can still access and leave their homes but should be aware that they can only return to their homes on foot. Everyone else is kindly requested to follow the signage and take alternative routes.
